![]() That way it looks like you could easily have anything. Ie: some have two handed axes, some have two axes, some have halberds or spears, and some have sword and board - or any desired combination of these weapons for stances. I think the way to fix this then would be to diversify the weapons present in the unit. I'd settle just for stat swaps at this point. We've already got units that can swap between a ranged kit and a melee kit, so swapping between two melee kits while not actually in melee shouldn't be that hard.Īnimation swaps could be difficult, true. I think it'd be doable, but the worst-case scenario is that they make them unable to swap while engaged in melee.which is how they behaved on tabletop anyway. And doing that while actually having melee combat animations ongoing while fighting enemy X might be even worse. ![]() I don't think this translates well into a infantry unit who has to visually switch weapons in their hands. ![]() The visual difference in combat is between a single and a volleyshot. Not only is it possible, it's in the game.Įagle and Reaper bolt throwers switch damage profiles with the click of a button. On the technical front I imagine it be similar to getting the Lothern Seaguard to switch from bows to spears. If you hit it again they swap back to two handed. They start with two handed weapon and if you hit the ability they switch to shield and sword. Would it be technically possible (and do you think it be cool) if Black Orcs had an ability that let them switch weapon selection.
